The high rate of road accident indicates the epidemic condition in Bangladesh. According to World Health Organization (WHO), more than fifty people die and more than hundred people become injured or disabled because of road accident everyday. This unexpected death makes us not only regretted but also aggrieved. As a consequence we only blame to the drivers for this unexpected death. But whether only the drivers are liable for the road accident or anything else? Are faulty road constructions, faulty road transport management & faulty transport owners-workers agreements responsible? Whether the dependency on road, destroying the railways or waterways is responsible for road accident? Are the international donor agencies playing any role for this situation? What are the ways or remedies to combat this situation? This documentary film 'DEATH TRAP' produced by 'JAGOREE' and directed by Monjurul Haque deals with these questions.
