Tracking Ukraine's Political Transition: The Ukraine Forum

This event marks the launch of Chatham House’s Ukraine Forum, a new platform providing insight into the domestic political situation and progress of reforms in Ukraine. The speakers at this event are Nataliya Gumenyuk, Co-Founder of Hromadske TV, and Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, First Deputy Chairperson, Committee on Foreign Affairs, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Ukraine is at a critical juncture as it continues to grapple with an ambitious reform agenda, a complex economic and social situation and the ongoing war in its eastern regions. This event analysed the progress that Kyiv has made in increasing transparency and reforming key government institutions, as well as the challenges that remain. The Ukraine Forum is a unique platform providing insight on internal Ukrainian dynamics in key policy areas. The forum brings together a dynamic group of stakeholders, including politicians, practitioners, civil society leaders, academics and journalists to examine the political situation in Ukraine. It is managed by Orysia Lutsevych and governed by a steering committee of eminent academics, journalists and funders, chaired by Robert Brinkley, UK ambassador to Ukraine (2002-06).
