The land of video games is full of fantastical, scary and amazing places. For this top 5 we've selected five gaming worlds that have made the most impact on us. Get ready for the top 5 worlds in gaming! 5. Azeroth - World of Warcraft Love it or hate it, Azeroth is one of the longest running and persistent gaming worlds so far. We had a wonderful time exploring the many different areas of this vast place. Even though it changed dramatically after the Cataclysm expansion we'll always remember Azeroth like it was in vanilla WoW. 4. Wasteland - Fallout 3 Everybody remembers the first time they stepped out of the vault and into the Wasteland in Fallout 3. The post-apocalyptic open world gave the game a credible sense of place that few other games can match. The Wasteland is deserted and devastated but beautiful at the same time. 3. Skyrim - Skyrim Skyrim offers a fantasy world so rich and expansive that you can easily lose yourself in it for hundreds of hours. The frozen Nordic land is gorgeous and filled with interesting characters, wildlife and overall culture. If you're a fan of mythology-heavy worlds and fantastic adventure then Skyrim is the world for you. 2. Hyrule - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time Ocarina of Time provided us one of gaming's first fully realised worlds to explore. Those first steps onto the huge field of Hyrule were epic and filled with promise. And that was just a fraction of this amazing place. We also loved riding our horse across Gerudo Valley and swimming in the majestic realm of the Zoras. 1. Rapture - Bioshock Even though we absolutely adore the open-air city of Columbia we have to go with the underwater city of Rapture as our favorite gaming world of all time. The unique atmosphere of this 1950's dystopia made a huge impact on us. Rapture grabs you from the minute you step out of that bathysphere and it doesn't let go. We love it.
