Tooro Princess Ruth Komuntale marriage all but over

The Princess of Tooro Kingdom, Ruth Komuntale has issued a statement declaring the end of her marriage to her American husband Christopher Thomas. The couple that tied the knot at a colourful wedding in Fort Portal last year, has had a rocky marriage that has been widely written about in Ugandan tabloids. NTV obtained the two-page document signed by Princess Ruth Komuntale in which she explains their break up. Part of it reads..." It is regrettable to see that our marriage with Thomas has ended like a shooting star across a clear night sky. Thomas struck me as my Prince Charming the moment I met him. He was irresistable and when he asked for my hand in marriage I could not say no. I loved Thomas as my husband...and it saddens me to announce that our marriage has ended. She further wrote, "many times I have tried to make the marriage work through tolerance, forgiveness and reconciliation. However I have learnt with sadness that while turning the other cheek is saintly, it emboldened Thomas' impunity against his wife." She concludes her letter by thanking all those who stood by her in her trying times and promising to dedicate her life to fulfil her dreams that include championing the cause of women and children.
