"One time last year, I got on a plane in the morning in Auckland, NZ, bound for home. I had played with my band in Ak the night before so I hadn't been to sleep yet and I was in a dark headspace. I didn't talk to anyone and I probably reeked of dark thoughts. Then I spotted a little 7-year-old dude in front of me, spying through the seats at me. He was smiling and playing hide and seek with me. He was excited to be on a plane. He didn't understand that I wasn't. This is a video of me playing 'Little Stranger', a song about how the innocence of a child can be a wonderful reminder of the love that's in the world, and its ability to shine through the darkness.
