After school funding cuts had taken away many arts and hands-on learning experiences for youth, Nick Tobier, a professor from U-M’s Stamps School of Art & Design and Bart Eddy, founder of Detroit Community Schools, developed the Brightmoor Maker Space to help inspire dreams and big ideas in northwest Detroit.
