In the video, Berklee Online instructor Tim Huling discusses themes in film scoring. He explains that one way to spark inspiration when writing for a specific person, place, or thing is to brainstorm its attributes. Huling uses examples of two contrasting characters he composed themes for, showing how he jots down a few adjectives about each character, and how that can help evoke musical creativity and help a film scorer create a theme that matches the character's personality traits.
