The first test in the Netherlands with the SRS-technology of Applied CleanTech (http://www.appliedcleantech.com) has become a success. At the invitation of the Aa&Maas Water Board (http://www.aaenmaas.nl) the Israeli company has extracted cellulose from the waste water of the Aarle-Rixtel wastewater treatment facility and processed it into Recyllose. Aa&Maas sees significant advantages including additional treatment capacity, generation of less sludge and reduced costs in connection with sewage treatment. In addition Recyllose, constitutes a new commodity, containing cellulose, which is suitable for immediate use in composites (http://www.npsp.nl), asphalt and insulation material (http://www.warmteplan.nl), among other things, but can also be used to produce a new generation of bio-fuels (http://www.nettenergy.nl) and bio-alcohol (http://www.alpha-enzymes.com).
