A city that for a thousand years had been a citadel in defense of Western Europe and of Christianity. The belief of liberals and cultural relativists in the West that Islam is somehow a peaceful and tolerant religion has more to do with wishful thinking then what the historical record says. And that record shows that Islam is the implacable enemy of Western values and will not be appeased until all other beliefs are either subjugated or destroyed.
