The Story of Mr Sommer

This is an animation exercise I did based on an illustration by Jean-Jacques Sempé from Patrick Süskinds novella The Story of Mr Sommer (Die Geschichte von Herrn Sommer) The autobiographical book tells about Mr Sommer, a mysterious man who is only ever seen taking long walks. As I was reading this book I could see Mr Sommer moving across Sempés illustrations and I figured that animating a walk cycle for the man who spent his days walking endlessly seemed appropriate. I also animated Mr Sommer in his summer outfit but I like the winter version better. The music is Waltz of the Skyscraper by Tin Hat Trio.
