The Point: Conservative vs Liberal Media, Jenny McCarthy, & Journalism's Fate

This week on The Point with Ana Kasparian- a frank discussion and analysis of modern mainstream media takes center stage. What are the myths and realities of biased media, how did they come about, and can (or even should) we do anything about it? In what ways are Fox News and MSNBC the same, merely coming at issues from opposite sides of the political spectrum? In what ways are they different? How is news coverage handled on those channels and why? Traditional media and new media seem to be battling it out for the public's attention with new media seeming to be on the rise while traditional news coverage declines. Is there any way to innovate the old-style of journalism? Are there inherent advantages to that style, or is it time to let go of it? Is our media not confrontational enough with "friendly" political figures? Are there times when journalists are overly confrontational? Jenny McCarthy will be given a national platform with her inclusion on ABC's The View-- will she use her position to spread scientific misinformation and potentially cost lives? Those questions, plus this week's "Off Their Feed" are in this installment of The Point with Ana Kasparian.
