The Myth interview on LMFM for the all ireland talent show

The Myth Have Talent The Myth from Navan Co. Meath will represent the East in The All Ireland Talent Show, Ireland's biggest nationwide talent show. Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh picked The Myth to be in her final eight out of over 20,000 people who auditioned in Kilkenny. Front man of The Myth Kenny Gavin says "It's a great honour to represent The East and our County and we're going to bring home the title for Bláthnaid, she was second last year but with us she'll be number one". Brian Clarke, Kenny and David Gavin and Paul Mc Grath are the four members that make the feel good, catchy rock n roll sound of The Myth. With energetic and feel good songs such as Top Of The World, Don't Care, Feel, What Is It and many others, The Myth are a band that appeals to everyone. So what have the band achieved to date? Since their start 2 years ago, The Myth have made an appearance on the Bernard and Keith breakfast show on i105-107 with their demos (Recession & Top of the world), making their play list. In terms of gigs, The Myth have played support to Aslan on numerous occasions and have played along side the Christians from Liverpool in Whealens, Neil Bryden in Crawdaddy. The Myth just missed out in a place at Glastonbury 10, but made up for it by getting a slot at Oxegen 10 on the New Dawn stage. The Myth have also played The Shamrock and Milk festivals as well as having played at Our Guinness Thursdays in Kells co Meath. However, The Myth are not all about big Festivals; they have worked with a charity "The Help Keighley Walk Fund" to help raise money for Keighley to get an operation in America. This December they will work with the H.S.E (Jigsaw/Headspace) to promote mental health in young people.
