The Musee de Cluny was less crowded on a Monday (closed on Tuesdays) and we decided to visit this lesser known tourist attraction with exhibits and collections focused on the Middle Ages. It offers an insight into Medieval arts and society from the 5th to the 15th centuries.
A section of the museum is housed in the Gallo-roman thermal baths, probably built in the 1st century and still being excavated. There are also medieval inspired gardens open to the public on the exterior and this visit begins on the corner of Boulevards Saint-Michel and Saint-Germain.
