The "K" comes down as Kmart closes

The Kmart store in Enola has closed, and the giant red K is coming down Tuesday morning, April 10, 2018. Signs of the recently closed Kmart are disappearing from the Summerdale plaza in Enola Tuesday morning as workers remove the red K and other signs from the strip mall. Sears Holdings announced in January that it was closing 64 Kmart stores, including one in Cumberland County and one on Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township. Nine stores in Pennsylvania were on the list. The store closings are wrapping up early this month after weeks of liquidation sales.
