An evil order called Mythic Dawn has executed the Emperor and now the Daedra from Oblivion roam free unless the Dragonfires are re-ignited. The player must find the Emperor's heir before Mythic Dawn do so they can be protected. While also fighting Mythic Dawn the player must enter the Planes of Oblivion through Oblivion Gates and find a way to close them.
