"Experts Only Heli-Skiing"! The Steep Skiing program at Bella Coola Heli Sports is, without doubt, one of the steepest, on-going heli-skiing program done by guests in Canada. This is NOT a "steep and deep" clinic. This is a major step above! We only accept very advanced skiers/riders who want to be challenged....who want to be pushed.... with safety the absolutely #1 priority. Our guides will not put you in a situation if you or the conditions are not in prime shape. There is a maximum of 4 guests and 2 highly experienced guides. This program is NOT about racking up crazy vertical (though it includes 75,000ft in a 7 night package), however it is about identifying and skiing an objective. At the start of your week your group and the guides will discuss what you want to achieve. The guides will then set up a plan on how to accomplish that. NOTE: This is a specialty program. It is not our regular heli-skiing program. If you are strong Blue Run or better resort skier, you can do our regular heliskiing programs. We offer the best alpine skiing in Canada. Perhaps the late great Shane McConkey said it best: "Bella Coola was one of the most stunning places I've ever had the opportunity to heli ski. Swede and crew have truly discovered an amazing new powder kingdom. I was constantly glued to the window of the heli scoping out some of the most spectacular terrain I have ever seen. Wax your boards and get your ass up to Bella Coola."
