The second episode in The Common Thread series, ‘Coast’ dives deep into the experience of inner struggle, hearing heartfelt stories from people riding the waves of their mental health challenges, and how connection and self-love can bring us back to the surface. “Being a young man, to show emotion is to come across as being weak, and I think that’s so wrong.” – Otis, Indigenous artist and professional surfer.
The Common Thread is a 6 x 5-8min video series in which Australians from all walks of life share their journeys with mental health, and tell us about the tools and tactics that have supported their recovery. Episode 3 is called ‘Country’ and drops next Tuesday July 23.
