All roads lead to a coin spill... Or paths like in this case. I started on one and was able to locate a coin very quickly, but moved deeper into the woods shortly after. The hunt was difficult. It is not easy to find something in these woods. The finds are mostly ("dropped from above") WWII remains, traces from hunters, or forest workers.
After a long, more or less disappointing part, I was finally able to find the "right" spot. A path with a coin spill.
Some of the coins were from 1800s, others from early 1900s. I really like finding these small "Reichspfennig" coins. Add a coin spill to it and I'm very pleased...
As if this was not enough, the metal detecting Gods gave me a generous reward in form of an old pocket watch. This beautiful find came totally unexpected. The signal was awful (after a few other "iron-like" sounding objects). I expected something "bad", trash, made at least partially of iron. When a pocket watch appeared, I was shocked. What a find and what a surprise. It was almost too much for one hunt.
Of course I'm very happy with the outcome.
I hope you had a good time too.
Have a great day or evening.
