The All-New Fiery Gizzard Trail with Jaxx Drinkwater and friends

In this video, I hike the Fiery Gizzard Trail in southeastern Tennessee with Jaxx Drinkwater and others. The five of us took the Dog Hole detour plus a side trip to Raven Point. My focus on the hike (and in the video) was on the new areas of trail that have just recently been opened. The Fiery Gizzard Trail is located in South Cumberland State Park near Sewanee, TN. Over the past 18 months, about two miles of the trail were re-routed to go around some private property. More than 125 volunteers spent more than 10,000 hours working with the park's rangers to built this new trail. Thanks to Jaxx Drinkwater and the others I met on this hike: Ftroop, Roche, Emcee, Hanginout, and Grapenut. It was a great group and great fun! I've put about 300 trail miles on these sandals, and wanted to see how they would perform on a steep, rocky trail.
