Text Message Details Released

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL -- Police have released new video of the 15-year-old accused of nearly beating a Fort Lauderdale middle-schooler to death. The tape shows attempted murder suspect Wayne Treacy talking to police about the March 17th attack. Fewer than three hours after Treacy is accused of trying to kick Josie Ratley, 15, with steal-tipped boots, he tells a detective it was a text message about his brother who had committed suicide that set him off. Treacy says it started with an argument over his relationship with co-defendant Kayla Manson, 13, that escalated into name-calling with her protective friend Ratley who finally lashed out at him in anger.
