Tetra® Brand My Aquarium App — Features & Functions How-To

Simplify your aquarium-keeping experience with the new My Aquarium app from Tetra® brand. The app features water testing tools, reminders, product inventory, and more––all to help you manage it like a pro. To start, tap on the “plus” icon to add an aquarium. You can select the type of aquarium…the size…and add a background from the app’s image library. Or, by clicking “gallery” in the upper right hand of the screen, you can add your own photo as a background. To add more aquariums, just click on the Manage Aquariums feature in the app’s Menu. Then, click on the “plus” icon below and repeat the process. The Water Test feature of the app makes testing easier than ever. Just select your aquarium…the type of test strip you’ll be using…then tap the “next” button. After the timer counts down, align the test strip in the window, snap a picture, and review your test results, which pop up automatically. For more information on each specific element, press the “i” button. For detailed instructions on how to treat your water, and for precise dosing, press the “Recommendations” bar. Next, the Reminders feature helps you stay on top of the most important tasks to keep your aquarium at its best. From food and filtration to water care and water changes, each reminder offers recommendations on how often you should perform each task. Just select an aquarium, press the “plus” button below, and add the task reminder you want. You can also customize your own reminders. Finally, click on the Settings feature in the Menu to choose the time of day you’d like to receive your notifications. The app also offers an Inventory feature so you can keep track of the products you use for each aquarium you own. To add a product, just press the “scan” button. The app utilizes your device’s camera to take a picture of the product’s barcode. Or, you can also add products manually. Finally, if you have any additional questions, or need extra support or advice, the Help feature in the app’s Menus links you directly to the Tetra Fish Customer Service web page.
