In this video I demonstrate the process for checking the Dolby Level calibration of my Teac C-3RX, more affectionately known as C3PO. The adjustment points are labeled on the circuit board, and all that is needed to accomplish this fairly rudimentary check is an AC voltmeter, preferably True RMS, with a three decimal resolution (i.e. 0.000) and a Dolby Level Test Cassette. Here, I'm using the Teac MTT-150, an industry standard. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the machine's adjustments were barely out of Cal. The meters were only one decibel off from spot on. Still, my OCD needed appeased, so I went ahead and acquired a Dolby level tape and now I know for a certain fact that the machine is properly calibrated. thanks for watching. I hope you found this interesting. So long for now.
