Susan Tabak at Dolce & Gabbana, Milan Fashion Week Spring 2012

Backstage, after the show, Domenico Dolce himself was there, smiling, laughing, cracking open bottles of Champagne and inviting everyone to celebrate. This display of Italian esprit gave me a new perspective on the brand: the talent, the quest for glamour and the joie de vivre all felt seamless. I spent a lot of time chatting with staff members, who were all so warm, welcoming and happy to be doing what they do. I felt a true connection, not just to the clothes I'd seen on the runway, but also to the people behind the scenes. They've all had a hand in making Dolce & Gabbana the enormous success it is today!
