Suriname president convicted of murder in 1982 executions

A court in Suriname has sentenced President Desi Bouterse to twenty years in prison for the killing of political opponents in 1982.
The verdict may end a legal saga that has lasted 12 years.
But it is unclear what will happen to the president once he returns from China, where he has been on an official visit.
