Sunrise Streak | LNER 60009 'The Christmas White Rose' | 20.12.2018

At the head of both mine and the Railway Touring Company's final charter of 2018, was LNER A4 no. 60009 'Union of South Africa', working 'The Christmas White Rose' from Cambridge to York via Ely, seen passing Ramsey Road in Whittlesea, with the 'Streak' well into her stride, racing around the curve toward Peterborough in a brief glint of the early morning winter sunrise. LMS Coronation Class 6233 'Duchess of Sutherland' would work the return as far as Peterborough, before transiting over to the Nene Valley Railway for the night, and WCRC 47832 would continue to Cambridge.
