Sun Gleaming through Stained Glass of the Basilica of St. Michael, Bordeaux

The original stained glass windows were destroyed during the war. The modern replacements are full of colour and on this sunny winter's day the whole church was bathed in light. It's a very imposing church more a cathedral. Located on the French Pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostello. A reminder of the important role it played is the tombstone of a pilgrim. Other features include statues and paintings of St. James, as well as a fine stained glass window by Couturat.
