Strauss Horn concerto 2 with manuscript.

Using the original autograph manuscript for the Horn Solo. Strauss autograph August 8th 1943. Gottfried von Freiberg (Horn) and conductor Karl Bohm signed at the premier August 11th 1943 at the Salzburg festival. The recording is from the following year with Freiberg and Bohm. This is a definitive interpretation: Strauss had been with both Horn player and conductor at Salzburg for rehearsals, but did not attend the premier itself but returned to Garmisch on the 9th.
