Crocosmia is a small flowering plant in the iris family. It is native to the grasslands of southern and eastern Africa, ranging from South Africa to Sudan. They can be evergreen or deciduous perennials that grow from basal underground corms. The bulbs can be stored away in winters if you have harsh winter or if there are too many roots around it.
