Several people have asked whether my little Stirling engine can pump water so I'm posting this video to show that it can. The video was taken over a year ago and is not the best but it does show that the engine can lift at least 2 liters of water per minute to about a meter high. This is using a very simple inefficient inertia pump that has just one check valve at the bottom, and the water is traveling through 50 feet of garden hose. I'm sure if I had a decent pump matched to the engine that it could put out much more than this, but at least it shows the possibility. If anyone knows of a better little pump that might work for this purpose please let me know. Thanks!
