*Edit: This is the first rough draft of my TFA Five Minute Lesson Plan which I revised to include a second visual aid, and polished language. I was accepted as a 2013 corps member and will do my best to answer any questions potential corps members may have as you prepare for final interviews.*
This is my five minute lesson plan which I am practicing for my final interview for TFA on Tuesday. I would love any and all feedback on how to make my plan more effective. I know I made a mistake when I was speaking in my example sentence, "Sammie dunked on LeBron," but I'm confident I will be more aware in my following practice sessions.
The two most important aspects of the lesson are:
1) That by the end of the lesson, students should fully understand the objective.
2) That I am prepared, focused and all of my actions support student learning of the objective.
My objective: Students will be able to recognize and revise simple sentences written in the passive voice.
Subject: Ninth Grade English
My final interview is on Tuesday, so I have time to make small revisions based on feedback. Thanks for all your help!
