Steven Schick - The Music Room

1986 KMTF (now KVPT) public television arts feature with percussionist Steven Schick, who offers a detailed primer on the role of the percussionist; also demonstrating the wide range of instruments and their origins, as well as performance techniques. The segment ends with a performance of Karlheinz Stockhausen's "Zyklus." The segments are hosted by Philip Lorenz. Schick was a faculty member of the Dept. of Music at CSU Fresno.
