STAR WRECK: Timecrash (Interviewing Samuli Torssonen @Worldcon)

For all you fellow geeks and sci-fi fans out there: THERE'S A NEW STAR WRECK FILM COMING! Star Wreck is a series of Finnish Star Trek parody movies. Often Star Wreck is used to refer to the latest and most popular film Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning, released in 2005. Star Wreck really has a cult reputation and every geek in Finland knows it. The group is also behind the Iron Sky movies. So, I was more than honored when Samuli Torssonen, the creator of Star Wreck and the actor of the main role Captain Pirk, contacted me and asked to work for them at Worldcon 75, Helsinki, 2017, doing some pr. After more than ten years since the last Star Wreck movie was released, it is time to continue the saga, first with the short film "Star Wreck: Timecrash", and in 2020 (estimated), there will be a new full movie. Both films will be directed by Jussi Lehtiniemi who is also the art director of the first Iron Sky movie. "Star Wreck: Timecrash - - takes the franchise to a new dimension where Soviet Union rules the future Earth. The Communist utopia is coming to an abrupt end when a race of demonic aliens zealots, The Grind, launches a surprise attack on Earth.
