Rape and incest are often "dirty little secrets" that go unreported by a vast majority of victims, leaving another innocent to be victimized by the same perpetrator, and these monsters going without facing justice. Over 93 percent of juvenile sexual assault victims know their attacker. It is often someone they trust. In our case, it was the victim's father. Our hope, at Silent No More is to raise awareness about the commonality of father-daughter incest cases, raise awareness on grooming (training a child to become a wife) and to help someone out there going through a situation like ours speak up, before it's too late for them. Our videos and our journey will chronicle our fight, as well as encourage victims of rape or incest to come forward, speak out and use the resources available to them to get the help that they need. Make no mistake, incest is a crime, and it is a heinous one. The only way to make sure that these dirty little secrets become exposed to the light of day is to fight against the abusers, to speak up, to use our voices as one. Join us, as Silent No More begins a fight for our victim, and for yours. More information coming soon on the blog.
