Sony F3 S-Log 8bit SxS Test

Sony F3 now allows SLog to the SxS cards in the XDCAM EX format. It is 8bit 4:2:0 but the XDCAM EX grades very well. This was simply graded in Adobe Premier CS 5.5 using the colorcorrection tools in that program. Motion is great with no real perceptable artifacting or aliasing. The EX format is IMO an underated codec and will meet most shooting needs. Anything for web or broadcast will be well served by EX. Remember the C300 is 8bit 4:2:2 in MPEG, XDCAM EX codec will easily match that. Best,
