Sony Bravia Media Player keeps crashing

Just purchased Sony Bravia KDL-42W705B model. Design is wonderful and picture is excellent. Don't ever try to play some videos through USB though, as you'd be quite disappointed. This is what happens: Media Player application keeps crashing while browsing video files with the messages "Media Player is not responding. Would you like to close it ?" and "Unfortunately Media Player has stopped" in sequence. There is no way to recover from this crash loop but pulling out the power cord. Of course, I've updated to latest available firmware and did hard resets dozen of times as suggested by Sony support with no effect. If willing to enjoy your video database stored on your hard drive, just forget this product.
