Class A Motorhome RV Living: Season 4 EP048 July 17-19, 2019 Get more of our stuff at http://themotorhomeexperiment.com/. In this episode, we take a couple of very different hikes in the Lake Tahoe area. First, we head up to Fallen Leaf Lake, with our friends Don and Jeanne, to check out the resort at the far west end. Fallen Leaf Lake is a little more subdued than Lake Tahoe, making it a great place for kayaking or paddle boarding. A short drive past the resort will put you in a series of beautiful waterfalls and the road ends at the trail head to Glen Alpine Springs. This is an in and out hike of approximately 2-2.5 miles. It is a moderate hike with quite a bit of elevation change. A day or so later we rolled out to the Woods Creek Trail Head with our friends, Stan and Alice, to make the hike up to Winnemucca Lake. It is a moderate hike, but is a bit longer than our previous hike at about 2 mile in each direction. It was an incredible hike up the hill and a very rewarding end at a beautiful lake surrounded by snow...yes, in July! We loved the Lake Tahoe area and especially enjoyed these two totally different hikes. We want to thank our friends, Don and Jeanne and Stan and Alice for taking us out into the Lake Tahoe wilderness. We hope you all enjoy coming along for the hike!
