Smola Norway Eagle Cam ~ Baroness Arrives Without Food; Elida Bites Her Toes W/ SLO MO 6.24.18

There were no food deliveries today perhaps due to bad weather as it was very windy and rainy. In the evening, Elida sees Baroness incoming and starts to vocalize. Dual cam coverage of Baroness arriving to the nest. Elida watches her feet and grabs her right foot which Baroness pulls back. Then Elida grabs Mom's left foot and Mom is able to pull it away. She waits to see if Elida calms down for a minute but then Elida becomes aggressive again and bites Mom's left foot - she flies away and spends the night elsewhere. SLO mo coverage at 2:17. It is an important lesson for Elida as food is not always available each day. Her aggression is normal and will help her survive out in the wild when she is on her own. Thank you for watching!
