I spent a lot of time this past summer writing, thinking and creating videos about how yoga can support positive mental and physical health via it’s tremendous capacity to help us create positive neuroplastic changes in the brain.
Here’s a short clip from one of the videos. I sometimes jokingly call this “The pose that shall not be named” – because, if I give it a name that students have already heard, they may assume it’s supposed to look a certain way.
I’m much more interested in guiding students to tune into how it feels and what it does for the body/mind. Try it out and let me know how you like it!
(What is this pose? Well, it’s definitely a variation. Here’s a geometry hint, it’s named after a common flexible polyhedron).
