To set up, the ladder should be in the closed position on a flat surface. Telescope the first side to the desired length. Make sure the straps are inside the rails of the ladder to avoid snagging. Turn the ladder over and adjust that side to the same length and lock it into place. Secure the feet against a wall or other secure structure. Then, walk the ladder up, rung by rung, until it is in the vertical position. Open the ladder to the A-frame configuration by pulling the ladder halves apart.
