Single cylinder Kohler courage engine on a LTX1040 Cub Cadet

Iam a big fan of both Kohler and Briggs engines [but I wont lie to anyone there are only certain models of each I like .] For example I hate Kohlers single cylinder courage engines because of there piss poor starters /val covers/and valve cover gaskets . Also there carbs internal parts really don't hold up to ethanol the way other engines they make do . But ......hey ......what can I say even Briggs have issues with ethanol . But still I think people should get what they pay for . AND from my perspective I think Kohler needs to take this engine back to the drawing board. I mean come on .......ive seen these engines leak oil from there val covers from new...[and as a cop out Kohler tells us to uses permatex to seal there val covers ]The engines are new folks keep this in mind.
