Singapore is taking further steps to minimise the risk of the Wuhan coronavirus spreading. From Feb 1 midnight, all new visitors who have been to mainland China within the last 14 days will not be allowed to transit or enter the country. The new rules are a step up from earlier restrictions, which only applied to visitors who had recently been to Hubei province. Singaporeans, permanent residents and long-term pass holders will not be affected, but will be asked to take a 14-day leave of absence.
