Working with CAD/CAM-based part programs and applying the high-speed cycle for SINUMERIK Operate 808D milling is intended to show a CNC user how to begin leveraging CAM-based programs on SINUMERIK 808D-equipped machines. We will take an example of a part that has been posted out in both the Siemens and ISO protocols, while covering the entire process from importation of the file through execution in Auto mode. Next, we will leverage the high-speed CYCLE832 function to improve program performance. Once completed, attendees will have a good understanding of what it takes to program and run a SINUMERIK 808D milling machine from programs created outside of the control.
What you will learn:
- Importing of CAD/CAM programs into the control
- Switching between Siemens and ISO modes
- Editing, simulation and running of part programs
- Applying the CYCLE832 high-speed function to a part program and running in Auto mode
