This video was taken at the 5th Vivier InterUniversitaire conference, on March 23rd, 2018. The talk was titled "The Circle of Fifths as a Tool for Composition and Analysis". It outlines a way of using the circle of fifths to calculate the perceived complexity and Sharpness/Flatness (happiness/sadness, positive/negative valence) of individual chords and chord progressions. It then goes on to describe how these tools can be applied to composition.
