Jeanne is named like the virgin of Orleans. She realises it one evening as she is watching the top model and actress Milla Jovovich who plays the french heroin in the Luc Besson movie. She was eware of it before but had never paid attention to it. So, she suddenly realises that she is in charge of a mission that identifies her to the heroin at a time when her life is difficult. The "voices" indicate the acts thas she has to accomplish and whow. These voices are the songs that Milla sings; Milla the little girl who lives next door and who is so much like herself. The songs talk about violence, hatred, about war and love. Jeanne is an abused woman, humilieted on a daily base by a violent husband and she has now to react. She actually starts acting the day she is given a gun by a man she meets on the street, a gun she intents to use to kill her husband. Jeanne pulled the trigger and kills. From that moment on, Jeanne won't stop. On her abdomen she has a cross drawn by a musician met on the street and with whom she has had sex. Despite a conflict deep inside her she must go on and free Orleans now. But what and where is Orleans ? To find it, Jeanne will have to fight and kill sinister and violent men like her husband in places and towns bearing the same names as those battle fields where the Virgin had to fight. At her side is a writer from the suburbs armed with a knife and former companion of Alice and friend of Milla. His name is Gilles, he is brave and he is a killer. Like Gilles de Rais, one of Johan d'Arc's lieutenants and future children assassin, he, from now on only kills guilty poeple. Together they will form a terrible pair of murderers, wandering the streets of Paris to surve justice. Gangs of police and mercenaries kill each other. Through the entire city, they render justice among junkies such as Christiane F, street musicians like the Pink group , among intoxicated top models and among prostitutes. They will seek vengance for the victims by eliminating sadistic mercenaries, exploiters or police forces in a bloody and mercyless war. "From God from Heaven" was Johan of Arc's emblem and Jeanne feels that she, too, is the one sent to render justice and every killing becomes, in that sense, a divine act. To raech her goal, she needs to fight her last battle on Orleans street. Only later will come remorses and the condemnation. Teatriclly related in a foolish but visionary choreography, ultra expressive and realistic dispite some poetic moments, this danced drama is an analysis on men and women violent relationships and their origines. It's also a beautiful love story between Jeanne and Gilles. "From God fron heaven" is based on five characters who, on stage, appear real and symbolic. Jeanne is interpreted by Mia Molinari, the choreographer herself, Gilles by the author and director Sergio Gilles Lacavalla and two female dancers (Veronica Maritati and Elena Cestaro). And on actress for the longer version. Also a narrative voice and another Jeanne (Elisabetta Fadini). The action, in this presentation is powerful, paintful and quite accurate regarding the historical facts. This ensemble is served by a recorded music from the Nihilist Suicide Pop Spiritual Front band. (In the longer version, music could be played on stage). "From God from Heaven" is also the reading of a text (by the author himself) and a video presentation of the show. the idea is to transpose this story into a modern dance and performing art version by Michele Salimbeni, a stage and film director, prized for his work on "I magi Randagi" by Sergio Citti and ex assistant to polish director Andrzej Zulawski. According to the program indications: Survival, ongoing war, feelings of repulsion through images, images like dreams appear on stage. A kind of Cura Ludovico from Clockwork Orange but that doesn't leave any trace of pity behind. Each thought ill translate into one word only : Innocence. "From God from Heaven" is a true story. Only the names have been changed. Except one, by half.
