The Evolution Wireless D1 is amazingly simple to configure - just plug in the base, pop two AA batteries into the bodypack, and turn it on. It will automatically set the best frequency and operate a second backup frequency without any user intervention. During the course of a production it will continually adjust both its transmit power and frequency to ensure the best possible connection. The all digital system sounds great and I did not experience any signal issues in my testing even at longer ranges. It operates on the 2.4ghz bands which are also used by WiFi connections. Despite having a number of wifi units operating in my home I did not experience any interference issues.
