Democratic Sen. Cory Booker said he intends to publicly release a confidential email from Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, despite committee rules that prevent him from doing so. In the final round of questioning for Kavanaugh, the New Jersey senator openly questioned why the email, which covered the subject of racial profiling, was not visible for the public. Booker said the email had "nothing to do with national security." Republican senators balked at Booker's announcement, some saying that he could face punishment for releasing the document. Booker, along with other Democrats, said to "bring the charges." Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin defended Booker's decision, saying he concurred with his actions. "Let's jump into this pit together," he said.
