Seiko 5 7009-3040F - Vintage watch Review

Hi Guys. In this video I am doing a review of my vintage Seiko 5 watch. The movement of the watch is 7009 automatic mechanical movement. It cannot be manually wound or hacked. The 7000 family was a midrange mechanical offering. It was the basis for the popular 7S26 movement. The family operated at the same 21,600 A/h still used by midrange Seiko mechanisms and all offered 43 hours of power reserve. All members of the family feature Seiko's bi-directional Magic Lever winding system. It has receassed crown at 4 o’clock position The watch is from June 1986 and is in my family for 3 generations. I will tell you how the date of manufacture is calculated and how you can use the serial number to determine it.
