Second bee hive removal and relocation from the same house.

www.studiobeeproductions.com When it comes to eating, down here in Southeast Louisiana, second helpings are just part of the meal. Well, I'm beginning to believe that may hold true with bee wrangling as well. This week, Mike and I once again visit the same home we removed bees from last week to remove yet another bee colony. Fortunately, the hive was not as large as the last one, see the link below in case you missed it, but like the last one, it was full of honey. The removal went very smooth, and there are some great shots of some very large slabs of honey comb.The queen catch was a very interesting challenge, but she, like so many before her, succumbed to the charms of Mr. Ed and the graces from God, and wound up in the queen cage. Like last week, these bees and all the honey went home with Mike, who like myself is a member of the River Region Bee Association. Tragically, he lost all his hives, more than 12 of them, due to poisoning, not from him, and he is once again rebuilding his apiary. The 2019 Swarm Catch Challenge is in full stride now with many big time hitters joining in on the fun and sending in their pictures with their swarm catches. So we have a few name droppers, but we also have an entrant all the way from Israel as well as some wranglers who have caught 8 or 9 swarms already.
