Scrum in automotive engineering

Scrum is an agile method that derives from software development but is nowadays also applied to many other fields – such as automotive engineering for example. the Scrum methodology relies on fast iterations and the verification of results, preferably directly with a potential customer, in each cycle. This leads to higher productivity and lower development costs as the focus is on the requirements with the highest value. The benefit is a much shorter time-to-market and much better fulfillment of actual customer needs. As a result, fewer failed projects are expected and project risks can be better controlled.
