Rohini Somanathan, Professor, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi; Member (2010--11), School of Social Science, Institute for Advanced Study http://www.econdse.org/faculty/rohini/rohini.htm In this lecture, Rohini Somanathan, Leon Levy Foundation Member, School of Social Science, explores the emergence and the consequences of the strategy adopted by the Indian state to equalize opportunity.
